Decades of propaganda and false wars (war on drugs did a head trip on people) have given us a conditioned society of people living in fear. Let's take the war on drugs for example. The war on drugs hasn't made our streets safer, it hasn't prevented teens from using drugs but it has without a doubt brought fear of the law into people's lives. Same with DWI laws. They don't stop DWI. They don't make our roads safer. (As an EMT I can tell you most accidents happen with sober drivers.) It makes someone who had a beer with his steak afraid of a cop car in his rear view mirror. That's what it does. Road tickets is a great example of fear driven control. You are going down the road, 5 to 10 miles over the speed limit. You see a cop and what's the first thing you do? Hit the breaks. Why? Might get a ticket. It's ridiculous. The TV reinforces the fear of cops as well and at the same time tries to glorify them. When the good guy cop brings down a dangerous criminal how does it happen on TV? By brut force, wicked car chases and shoot outs. In reality, most cops never draw their guns. I also know a cop who never gave tickets for he knew it made people afraid of cops. (Plus he was too lazy to do the paper work and show up in court.) We don't see Andy Taylor type local town sheriffs. Instead we have swat teams, militarized police and bad ass cops that can take down any shotgun wielding domestic terrorist with one arm tied behind his back. LOL. We are constantly being conditioned through fear. Which is what the government wants. If we fear them we will not likely revolt or become violent. It may sound strange but salesman use the same tactic to create a sense of "urgency" and get you to buy the expensive smoke alarm, water conditioner or camp ground by playing on fears. Whether it's the fear of losing money, an opportunity or your life they will and have used it. The other way sales works is impulse shopping. Attractive packaging, ect. Quote:
Ah, but there is something happening. Just not Illuminati conspiracy theories or ancient satanic cults. But rather an awakening of biblical proportions. It's a massive wave of people turning off the TV, the radio and newspapers and actually researching what they hear and read on the internet. people are connecting like never before. This forum alone is part of this massive awakening. We are making history right now as we type away on the keys. It's the "armchair revolution" and everyone knows it's happening. I have seen in the last week alone an awakening in my community. People are now talking revolution. They are talking 2nd amendment and distrust the government like never before. They are not talking 9/11 and I know not to push that issue but most that I talk to do not favor war with Iran. They fear a draft is coming and Obama will take our guns, causing a civil war. People are very much aware gun owners will fight rather than hand over the weapons. People know this is not a recession but a depression and they know the real unemployment numbers. I'm amazed at how awake they are becoming. I'm not seeing massive Glen Beck supporters either. This is average Joe with local connections. Small town USA. We are part of a revolution on the mind. An armchair rebellion wielded by the mighty pen and noncompliance to unjust laws. I mighty statement of reinforced by record gun and ammo buying. Obama may not have gotten the message but his polls reflect the people have. There are still zombies out there but the Zombies are waking up. That is the revolution. |
