Default Congressman asks Obama for proof

http://bobmccarty.com/2010/01/06/con...e-eligibility/

It appears that, for the first time, a member of Congress has publicly challenged a sitting president to prove his eligibility to serve as president of the United States.

This morning, I learned the Post & E-Mail had reported yesterday that Todd Smith, chief of staff for Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) of Georgia’s 9th District, sent an electronic letter to the White House Dec. 1 requesting that President Barack Obama prove his eligibility for the office of president.

Upon learning of the letter, I placed a call to Representative Deal’s office and was able to obtain verbal confirmation that, indeed, Smith had sent the letter on behalf of his boss.

Now, I’m waiting for one of his legislative assistants to respond to my request for a copy of the communication between the congressman’s staffer and the White House.

I know that I had heard of a couple enlisted Personnel requesting similar proof before being deployed and they were basically swept under the rug. Neither one deployed though one stayed in., the other discharged "General Discharge" .

I haven't been able to find the original article but I do remember reading that earlier last year somewhere.

Funny how this stuff won't make it to the MSM's though isn't it?
