The following is an interesting article and I wonder how long Dr. Hunt can remain at NIH once the powers that be get wind of this article. Dr. Hunt is a social and cultural anthropologist. He has had nearly 30 years experience in planning, conducting, and managing research in the field of youth studies, and drug and alcohol research. Currently Dr. Hunt is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Scientific Analysis and the Principal Investigator on three National Institutes on Health projects. He is also a writer for American Thinker.

Another Failed Presidency

An article from American Thinker by Geoffrey P. Hunt

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to China

But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.

But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of precedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?

No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.

But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper.

Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience.
In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job. Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012:

"For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."

Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.

Default 9 Days

In just 9 days from now be prepared to be insulted again as the MSM strikes up the propaganda machine to new heights. Get ready to hear nothing but...

Obama Hussein Barak will have just completed his first year in office. Look for the MSM to make this look like the second coming of Jesus. This will have started at least three days prior to, and continue for at least two days afterwards. It will be known as the six days of miracles.

I said, "insult" and that is what this will be for millions of Americans who have gotten to see this man unmasked. Unemployment is rising again with no relief in sight, this stranger will soon begin talking about another bailout, and millions of seniors are about to lose the quality of their healthcare. Much more is about to come.

It will not be the one year that people celebrate, but the fact that he will be gone, inside of three years!

Are you ready for all of this?

Yup! Its called the power switch.

Kill the radio and not look at the papers in the stores while cruising through picking up my surplus food supplies for SHTF days.

Screw 'em all. They voted for this mess and when it comes down around them and they are hungry and cold: I will allow them to observe from as Distance as I eat my food I have been storing while I sit next to my warm fire. Any closer than carbine range is more than plenty. If they are close enough for pistol work, then someone fell asleep on watch.

Stamp Malfunction

The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it. The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:

1.The stamp is in perfect order.
2.There is nothing wrong with the glue.
3.People are spitting on the wrong side.

Obama: 'I'm Not Going to
Walk Away' From Health Care

FOXNews.com - Obama Pledges He Won't 'Walk Away' From Health Care Reform

Americans should prepare for more punishment measures, like the banking restrictions and global market impact, from this man. He appears to have learned nothing from recent elections.

I hate to actually agree with this statement for I was always one to believe in helping your fellow man. But my fellow man has turned into a bunch of screwballs who deserve what they get.

Obama is kind of like the man with the golden touch. Except everything Obama touches turns to crap instead of gold. His friends, Pelosi and company are just as bad. Matter of fact pelosi reminds of the founder of PETA. A self righteous woman who is a vegetarian and compares hunters to Nazis. The thing is, Hitler was also a vegetarian. Pelosi reminds me of Hitler in a way. Obama remind me of the dorky dude Himmler.

And never forget Nazi is slang for Nationalist.

Default Taking the bait..

Obama: I'm Not Giving Up on Health Reform

President Obama on Saturday sought to assure despondent Democrats he would not abandon his commitment to overhauling health care and would work to counter GOP challenges to their congressional dominance.

This is exactly what did in the Dems in VA, MA, and NJ. Keep it up.... stupid!

Tea Parties will abound across America throughout 2010.

Obama's health care stunt is just to distract you from other issues. He really doesn't care about the people of the US. He never did. If he was a real caring person he wouldn't be hiding his documents and college thesis.

Health care is the new "global warming." Feel good and make everyone better crap. It's nothing and the moment we start firing rockets into Iran health care takes a back burner.

Yes, I now believe we are heading for a 3rd world war and a draft. I would guess by summer. Warships are being put in place.

Syria and Lebanon have already sided with Iran as well as Russia and China. Japan is a bit of a wild card.

We are now taking control of strategic ports and passages near Yemen.

It's coming! WW3 is coming. Israel will throw the first strike backed by our own.

Iran will retaliate and so will Russia.

I do not know if nuclear weapons will be employed but Israel has already threatened to use them against Iran. Which is admitting they have illegal nuclear arms BTW.

SHTF soon. This will also help convert attention from the continuing bail-outs and nationalization of industry. GM and Chrysler will be making military vehicles in 4 years.

Space Today Online - Iran space satellite launch

Read somewhere that Iran had launched a successful run with live animals (successful meaning that the animals were recovered alive) into a micro Orbit level.

If this is true, they now have the capabilities of hitting us where it hurts, our own shores.

BUT

Where is the MSM on that little tidbit?

Gagged by the WH due to striking fear into the herd. Can't have the sheep stampeding for the cliffs when the only thing feeding the Wolves is the sheep.

Iran just went from junkyard dog with no teeth to something more resembling a Large Mastiff on a rather small chain. Guess who holds the end of that chain?

News is, it isn't us.
